Process for the projects to be submitted to the Board for the CBFF
- Concept notes prepared by clients (NGOs, Governments, other technical partners, Civil Society Networks, etc.) to be submitted to the CBFF Secretariat.
- Screening of the concept notes based on the criteria defined for the fund.
- Successful applicants invited to submit a full proposal.
- Appraisal and recommendations prepared by Secretariat for Governing Council.
- Approval/rejection recommendations from the Governing Council to the Secretariat.
- The Secretariat will work with the recipient to finalise the project document based on the Bank format, showing technical and economic viability and sustainability.
- Submission for the Bank review process by the Secretariat (Review by the Country team, Peer review and then Operations Committee (OPSCOM).
- Transmission for approval to the Director of OSAN or the Vice-President OSVP or the President or the Board of Directors based on the amount of the project (Delegation of Authority - Thresholds set for approval of projects by different instances).
